\n\t\t\t\tHOW IT WORKS\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]Bungee jumping<\/strong> consists in jumping into the void from a much higher base than the ground<\/strong>, for example a bridge, with a particular harness at the ankles to which an elastic rope is tied to the launch point<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We recommend that you arrive at the jump site about an hour before the launch, so you will have time to watch other people’s jumps, get familiar with the instructor and join the briefing calmly.<\/p>\n

Before the jump you are weighed, so that operators can set the equipment correctly.<\/p>\n

At this point the operators harness you and accompany you on the platform.<\/p>\n

The throw takes place facing the fall and arms open.<\/p>\n

Now the free fall<\/strong> starts, which will have different duration and speed based on the height of the launch point and the length of the elastic.<\/p>\n

Remember to breathe, relax, even if it seems impossible, stretch your arms, bend your knees and enjoy the feeling of free fall.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll have about 2 seconds before the elastic reaches maximum tension and pulls you up.<\/p>\n

At this point you will bounce two or three times<\/strong>, each time slowing the fall until you dangle.<\/p>\n

To avoid stay upside down, climb up the rope by grabbing the knots until you get to hold on to the handles and stand upright while you wait to be pulled up (or down). The best spots to jump are those where it is worth enjoying the surrounding panorama, such as:<\/p>\n

1) Zimbabwe<\/strong> – Zambezi River on Victoria Falls: 80 meters of free fall over 111 meters high from the Victoria Falls bridge right on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, surrounded by the tumultuous sound of the roaring water<\/p>\n

2) New Zealand<\/strong>: the Mecca of bungee jumping. Among the numerous spots, we recommend the one on the Nevis River, in Queensland, for a height of 134 meters and about 8.5 seconds of free fall in which you are surrounded by the Remarkables and Hector Mountains and the Old Woman Range.<\/p>\n

3) Bulgaria<\/strong> – Belogradchik: a jump from a hot air balloon are two experiences in one. I would say three experiences if we count the landscape of the Balkan mountains.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tDOCUMENTS AND REQUIREMENTS\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]Bungee jumping is an inclusive, accessible sport, which can also be tried by people with reduced mobility, amputees or partial paralysis.<\/p>\n

The important thing is to be in general good physical shape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are some cases in which it\u2019s not possible to practice this sport<\/strong>, not even once, such as for those suffering from certain ailments or pathologies, such as heart disease, hypertension, damage to the joints or skeleton, …<\/p>\n

We invite you to check with your doctor for the possibility of launching before booking and to check the center’s policy.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not possible to jump even for pregnant women.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, anyone who is under the influence of drugs and alcohol cannot do it at all.<\/p>\n

Some centers also place limits on minimum weight and minimum age, but the rules vary from center to center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Generally, the minimum weight is about 35\/40 kg and the maximum about 145\/150 kg.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tRECOMMENDED CLOTHING and EQUIPMENT\t\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The sport center provides all the equipment needed to practice hydrospeed:<\/p>\n

long neoprene wetsuit (generally 7mm), neoprene boots, fins, water jacket, helmet, life jacket and of course the hydro, some also provide thermal gloves (depending on the temperature) .<\/p>\n

The necessary equipment for the launch is provided by the center where the launch takes place and consists of:<\/p>\n

Elastic<\/strong>: made of approved mountaineering material and specific bungee material, fixed to the jumper by 2 anklets. It consists of a strip (a strip of twenty glued latex threads) passed about fifty times between two rings; a second series of strips is then applied to the first, to reinforce the rope.<\/p>\n

The elastic can extend up to 650% of its initial length and weighs approximately 50 kg.<\/p>\n

Depending on the weight of the thrower, a different rope is used.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Safety rope<\/strong>: high tear resistance mountaineering rope parallel to the elastic and tied to the jumper via a mountaineering harness.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Harness<\/strong>: consists of anklets and mountaineering harness. The anklets are made of highly resistant fabrics, fixed with velcro and equipped with strips that allow the hooking, by means of snap-hook, to the elastic. The mountaineering harness, on the other hand, is fixed to the pelvis and chest and serves only as an attachment to the safety rope.<\/p>\n

Helmet<\/strong>: some centers also require you to wear a helmet, but it\u2019s not mandatory.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All you have to do is wearing comfortable and sporty shoes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
